Your Disabled Students’ Officer is gathering feedback to inform her campaigning and ensure UWE is as inclusive as it can be.
Your Disabled Students’ Officer Celina Tomas is gathering feedback to identify UWE’s strengths and weaknesses when supporting disabled students.
You can find the survey here: Disabled Students Consultation 2025/2026 – Fill in form
Your submissions will inform Celina’s priorities and campaigning strategy, and the survey is completely anonymous unless you choose otherwise.
We want to hear your opinions on accessibility at campus, academic support and adjustments, communication from the university, and whether you feel supported and included as a disabled student.
This survey is open to any student who identifies as having a disability. The Equality Act defines disability as Under the Equality Act 2010, a person is disabled if they have a physical or mental impairment that has a "substantial" and "long-term" negative effect on their ability to do normal daily activities. It is entirely up to you whether this definition applies to you, and you do not have to have a formal diagnosis or existing support measures with UWE to complete this survey.
Please share widely – the more submissions we get, the more effectively Celina will be able to represent you.
If you have any questions, comments, or want to join a peer support group for disabled students, please email DisabledOfficer@uwe.ac.uk.
