If you see anything you think is suspicious or simply "doesn’t seem quite right", report it to UWE Security
UWE Security are present on each campus 24 hours a day and we would like to be made aware of anything you think is suspicious or simply ‘doesn’t seem quite right’. You can do this by calling our Control Room on 0117 32 86404 at anytime (or extension 86404 from an internal phone). Our Control Room is in radio contact with the security teams on all campuses and can organise an immediate response.
Following a recent review of reported crime and security related incidents on UWE Campuses we are pleased to be able to report that UWE campuses have not been targeted by serious crimes such as violent or sexual crimes or crimes against the person. This is despite our campuses being open environments.
What we are experiencing however is a significant increase in theft and burglary on the Frenchay Campus and we are taking steps to tackle this, both in-house and in conjunction with Avon and Somerset Police. We have increased the security presence on campus and have made security officers much more visible. The Police have also increased their presence on site and are providing other support to us and have recently made an arrest and charges have been brought.
It would help us greatly if anything or anyone acting suspiciously was reported to us at the time so that we can respond.
