Congratualtions to Dance, Snowsports and Sailing
Congratulations to Rewind who came second place in the Universities Championships,UWE Dance Intermediate Hip Hop.
UWE Sailing club helped run the British universities sailing association (BUSA) western qualifier at Chew valley lake sailing club.
This event was run in conjunction between BUSA and a host university sailing club, and is a qualifier for the BUCS finals.
Neil Marshall Western Representative of BUSA said
"This year BUSA and myself had the pleasure of working with the UWE sailing club, who have been completely exceptional. Their dedication towards helping me run the event, both through planning, and actually on the day, is a true credit to UWE.
I am extremely grateful for the effort that Grace, Dom and their team put in to making the event happen, and they especially deserving of recognition, as are all the volunteers who helped.
It's been a privilege to work with some of your students, and you should be exceptionally proud of them!!"
The BUCS Alpine Championships is the pinnacle of the University racing calendar and UWE Snowsports are taking their excellent form from the Dryslope season onto snow.
Congratulations to:
Christian Forster who placed fourth and already has a BUCS gold under his belt this year also won Gold in the boarder cross.
Ben Fluck came seventh in the Ski GS
First year student Jennifer Heath who won Silver (photo below)
Jennifer also won Gold in the Sb Slalom Knockouts.
