The Students’ Union is here to make your life at UWE Bristol easier, whether you’re looking for a job, need a safe place for your kids to learn, or just want a coffee between lectures. Here is how our services have been working for you this year.
Looking for a job that works around your studies? JobShop has you covered. With over 7,400 students signed up and around 570 employers offering roles, there’s a huge range of opportunities available across Bristol and beyond. From hospitality to office work, all roles are flexible, part-time roles that actually fit around your timetable. This year alone, we’ve hosted vacancies worth an estimated £2.2 million!
We’re not just about job listings either. We give guidance on your CV, and connect you with service sand resources that will enhance your application. We also help you understand things like pay, tax and working hours, giving you the skills you need now and for your future career.
Studying with a little one is a balancing act, and Halley Nursery is here to help. With 103 children currently enrolled, we provide a high-quality childcare in a friendly environment for the children of UWE students and staff.
It’s not just childcare either. The nursery also helps students gain experience, with placements, training opportunities and even jobs for UWE graduates. It’s all about supporting your future as well as your present.
Our cafés, shops and events spaces give you sustenance, places to relax, meet friends and get involved. Every penny of profit from our shops and cafés goes straight back into funding your societies, your sports clubs, and your student representation. When you spend with us, you’re investing in your own student experience.
We employ 80 students across our outlets, helping your mates gain great experience while they study. We’re also working on our 'Best Bar None' accreditation to ensure our venues stay the safest places in Bristol to socialise.
