The Student Experience Awards were created to honour the incredible people who make UWE Bristol a better place to be. Need a reminder of the details? Here we’re giving you everything you need to know.
We’re going to check your name when you arrive at the Student Experience Awards, so you don’t need to bring anything with you: there’s no need to print out your ticket confirmation for example!
Tickets have sold out, and we now have a waitlist. If you missed out on buying your ticket, you can purchase a free “waitlist” ticket here. This is not guaranteed entry to the event, but it means we can contact you if a ticket becomes available. If you bought a ticket that you no longer need, please let us know! Email surepresentation@uwe.ac.uk by 17:00 on Monday 11 May, so we can process a refund for you and offer your ticket to someone on the waitlist.
We’re hosting The Student Experience Awards at the Mount Without: a stunning venue on St Michael’s Hill in Bristol. There are two spaces here, the Main Hall, and the Crypt. We’ll be beginning in the crypt for a welcome drink, then moving into the Main Hall for dinner and awards. There will be staff present to greet you when you arrive, and guide you into the correct space.
Please arrive as close to 6pm as possible, so you have an opportunity to enjoy your welcome drink before we sit down for dinner and awards.
The Mount Without is located here:

Here at the Students’ Union, we champion sustainability. If you’re able, we encourage you consider green transportation options for your journey to the SEAs.
Walk:
- If coming from the city centre, go up the Christmas Steps, past Perry Road and onto Lower Church Lane. - If coming from Park Row, turn left up Old Park Hill and onto Upper Church Lane. Follow the path alongside the UOB car park, which leads directly to the venue.
Bus:
- Take a route to Bristol Royal Infirmary (Stop H2) or The Centre. To plan your route, use the First Bus map:
Drive:
- Please note that there is no private parking for the venue. The nearest car park is the NCP on Trenchard Street – The pedestrian exit is on level 8. - There is also on-street, pay at meter parking on St Michael’s Hill.
- Disabled parking: there are single yellow lines outside The Open Arms pub on St Michael’s Hill which can be parked on all day when displaying a valid blue badge
- The venue has step-free access, including to both spaces we are using across the evening, and to the bathrooms.
- The Mount Without has accessible toilets, quiet spaces available (venue gardens) and is friendly to Guide and Assistance dogs.
- There is not an induction loop available nor automatic doors.
- If you have further questions about accessibility, or would like some support, please contact surepresentation@uwe.ac.uk
We’d like you to dress in a way that is smart, comfortable, and celebratory! As an event that centres sustainability, please be assured that there is no need to buy any new clothing. Last year, guests wore:
Suits
Dresses
Celebratory cultural and traditional attire
Jumpsuits
Blouses and trousers
Either flat or heeled shoes - your comfort is the most important thing!
Still need inspiration? Below, we’re sharing pictures of outfits from the night in 2025!
