Every year The Students’ Union at UWE invites UWE Bristol students, staff and members of the local community to join us for a dazzling display of fireworks and a bunch of fun activities for everyone to enjoy. The aim of this event is to raise money for our Community Fund. This year the focus of the event was raising money for Suicide Prevention Bristol, an award winning local suicide prevention charity that helps anyone with thoughts of suicide via telephone. Social media and out in the community. Find out more about the work they do here.

This year we kicked things off with a bunch of fun family friendly activities such as colouring in, hot chocolate station, Netflix and board games. Outside we had a BBQ, hotdog stand, tuck shop and sparklers zone.

We were treated to an amazing musical performance from the Centre for Music and a pub quiz inside Union 2.

Our firework display was as amazing as ever and we had a great turnout. We managed to raise £848.26 which is amazing. A massive thank you to all those who donated and attended the event!
