Drug checking is the latest practice which has been embraced by many people who use drugs in recent years, the risks of drug use increases greatly when users aren’t sure exactly what it is they are taking. Check out the video below to get a better understanding of the importance of drug checking.

Free Drug Testing Kits available on campus at The Students' Union!

As part of our committment to harm reduction, we are partnering with Bristol Drugs Project to host a number of pop-ups on Bower Ashton and Frenchay Campus giving out free testing kits and talking to students about testing substances at home. You'll also be able to get harm reduction support, advice and guidance.

If you want to know more about what is in the drugs you are planning to take there are a few options for you.

• If you don't want to come along to an in-person appointment or drop in, you can buy your own reagent testing kit and test the substance at home. See BDP’s FAQ’s to get a better understanding of the benefits and limitations of reagents testing kits.
• Watch the video above on how to use a reagent testing kit.
• Wedinos is a harm reduction project which provides an anonymous and free postal drug testing service and publishes sample results on their website. It can take up to a week to get the results published so a bit of preparation is needed
