Whether it’s a 1-day festival with local bands and DJs or you’re heading off for almost a week to see huge international artists, there are some things that every festival goer can look forward to during exam time.

1. Festival Fashion

Ahh, the varied world of festival clothing: where fancy dress is the norm and you can wear pyjamas and no one bats an eye. Whether you’re into shiny leggings or the noble harem pants: if in doubt cover it in glitter.

2. Wellies

It is the reality of festivals in the UK you’ll need wellies and there are some cool pairs out there. Just make sure you pack them because no one wants to be the one creating a pair out of bin bags and duct tape.

3. Friends

At a festival you’ll be surrounded by new people – it’s the perfect opportunity to make new friends. Who knows? Maybe you’ll meet you’re new best mate in the queue for the loo.

4. Getting Your Money’s Worth

The great thing about festivals is that you pay once to see loads of acts!

5. Discovering your next favourite band

There is nothing better than wandering into a random tent and discovering your new favourite thing.

6. Being Part of the Crowd

There is something amazing about being in a crowd of people all singing and dancing along.

7. Partying All Day

(And all night!)

8. Flags

So there might be so many of them that they block the stage – but they are useful landmarks for finding friends and they can be funny.

9. Wristbands

Because everyone wants strips of dirty cloth round your wrist as physical reminders of good memories, right?
