Why did we create a new Sensory Room?

Our sensory spaces campaign was started by our Trans Welfare Officer 24/25, and highlighted the student desire for a safe, sensory space availale to all students on Bower Ashton Campus.

You may have visted our temporary sensory space in the last academic year, where we asked students to provide us feedback including if they liked/used the space, what they found useful in the space and how we could improve it. 

This feedback was taken back to the University, who offered us a new permenant room for this facility at Bower Ashton!

What facilities are included in the Sensory Room?

The sensory room includes:

• Fidget toys 
• Various sensory lights (These can be turned on and off depending on your preference)
• Blackout Blinds
• Colouring books 
• Noise cancelling head phones
• and more!

How do I provide feedback on the new space?
