Find out how your Lead School reps are representing you and how you can get involved!
It’s been an exciting month for the student voice at UWE! At Student Rep Committee, your Lead School Reps met up with Khadiza, your Vice President for Education, to discuss the diverse feedback they’ve received from Student Reps across the university.
We heard from Ethan that some students in the School of Computing and Creative Technologies had been experiencing technical difficulties while trying to access their module projects and software.
From the School of Engineering, Ana highlighted that students would like to see more field trips and engagement with employers to help bolster their CVs and empower them to make informed career decisions.
Representing the School of Arts, Tuong raised concerns about student mental health and we had a useful discussion about how to signpost students to the correct services.
Finally, Poppy from the Law School updated us on her achievements from a School Board of Studies meeting, and we discussed how to improve awareness of the Law School’s resources, events, and support systems.
Thanks to the hard work of your amazing reps, all this feedback will be put to the University in course-level, school-level and university-level meetings.
Your feedback really counts - find out who your rep is on MYUWE and let them know your thoughts about your course to help forge a university that works for everyone.
And if you are a student rep, your Lead School Reps are organising meetups in December where you can update them on the issues on your course. This also counts towards your reward and recognition to become a ‘Bronze’ Rep. If you haven’t yet received an email, please contact your LSR.
