    Lead School Reps (LSRs)

    Lead School Reps (LSRs) are senior Student Reps who represent their Colleges and Schools at a higher level. They lead School-specific campaigns to improve the student experience and ensure student feedback is heard at top-level meetings.Students are paid to be Lead School Reps. 

    LSRs are recruited by the School and The Students’ Union, while School Reps are elected by their peers. They play a crucial role in making sure students’ voices are heard loud and clear.

    • Representation: Present student feedback at high-level meetings.
    • Leadership: Lead campaigns to enhance the student experience.
    • Collaboration: Work closely with senior staff, the Students’ Union, and School Reps.
    • Feedback Loop: Ensure outcomes are communicated back to students and relevant parties.

     

    How do Student Reps and Lead School Reps work together?

     

    Lead School Rep Meet-Ups

    Lead School Rep Meet-Ups are events organized by Lead School Reps to bring together Student Reps from their school of study. These meet-ups happen after SRSFs (Student Rep Staff Forums) and PMCs (Programme Management Committees) to gather feedback on course-level issues.

    Purpose:

    • Feedback Collection: Gather a wide variety of student opinions on course-related issues.
    • Preparation: Prepare issues that are happening across multiple courses within that school to take to School Boards of Study.
    • Representation: Ensure that student voices from across all programmes are heard by UWE staff.

    These meet-ups are crucial for raising important student feedback and making sure it reaches the right people to create positive changes.

     

    Who is my Lead School Rep?

    For the academic year 2025/2026 the Lead School Reps are:

    college of health, science, and society

    college of arts, technology and environment

    college of business and law

    Want to be a lead school rep?

    At certain points throughout the academic year, we will advertise for amazing students to be our Lead School Reps: they work part-time for the Students' Union, to represent their peers alongside studying normally. Interested?
