8:33pm on 23 Apr 24 The University pride itself on being accessible for all and yet there stance on being cashless very much excludes a large number of people. Not everybody wishes to use bankcards or credit cards and are unable to trust themselves with them. Cash to them is a means of regulating their spending effectively. With neuro divergent and other issues often prefer cash. In addition to this there are many that do not like having every spend tracked by their bank and wish to retain a level of anonymity in their spending which should be respected. Therefore, I strongly agree that you should accept cash at all outlets, especially seeing as it is still legal tender.

4:54pm on 23 Apr 24 The Students' Union shop does actually take cash, which is great, but more shops on campus should do so.
