Extra Information: The cost of living meals on Wednesday or Friday at the SU are a much needed and appreciated provision. However there have been occasions of people having had seconds before others have had their first portion. In some case people are finishing their food in the queue to get more as soon as they have been served. While I understand everyone deserves to feel full, it can be at the expense of others who are beaten to it. Furthermore, people with diet preferences may not be able to eat if the food runs out before they are able to get some. Or certain key parts of the meal are gone quicker than others (eg, the source of protein like the sausages). Seconds aren’t a bad thing but I think that it would be fairer and enable the scheme to feed more people if a stamp system was in place. People who have received food and a stamp could then go up for seconds at 7, haven given more people the chance to have a first helping.
