The University for the West of England has made a series of commitments to the natural world, climate, biodiversity, sustainability and environment. Furthermore, this institution has promised to "become carbon neutral by 2030" and to "Work to deliver the UN's Sustainable Development Goals." To ensure these are not empty words meant only to quell our attention from an ugly truth hidden from us, we should force this university to hold conferences four times a year with students, staff, and local press to make sure our university is held to account on its promises to us and the environment.
