All students who register themselves to be a Student Rep will have to attend mandatory two hour Student Rep training session. There will be a variety of training sessions happening throughout the year. You will sign up to your training sesson when you sign up to be a Student Rep.
This is the main Student Rep Training session. We'll cover everything you'll need to know for the role along with tips and tricks to make you the best Rep you can be. These sessions are interactive and a great way to meet Reps from across the University.
When you sign up to be a Rep, after being elected, you can choose which training session you wish to attend. We do them across all campuses! Ask your Programme Leader for the sign-up link.
Student Rep Conference is an opportunity for Student Reps to gather together and hear key updates from the VP Education and Representation team. It is hosted by the elected VP Education and aims to update and gather feedback from trained Student Reps across all years and courses.

Being a Student Rep can develop and showcase your skills in leadership and communication. The Students’ Union at UWE is offering Masterclass workshops for Students Reps to enhance your skills and support your CV building.
Have you ever felt that others haven’t fully understood what you’ve said or written? That your message hasn’t landed quite the way you intended? Or perhaps you’d like to use your words to inspire and influence others more effectively? This masterclass is designed to help you enhance both your verbal and written communication skills. You’ll learn how to develop strong networks to support your project.

UWE has been awarded the title of Sustainability Institution of the Year various times and is particularly active in promoting sustainable actions and new ways of approaching topical issues related to sustainable development. At UWE, we want to ensure that academics work closely with students and outside partners to create a realistic image of sustainability issues as well as appropriate responses to current challenges. The engagement of students REPs in doing so is therefore crucial. For this reason, we have designed a short training course on multidisciplinary approaches to Climate Change. This 3-hour interactive workshop will include:
