More Mo’s, More Impact.
What is Movember?
Movember is a global movement raising awareness and funds for men’s mental health, suicide prevention, prostate cancer and testicular cancer.
Throughout November, universities across the UK, including The Students' Union at UWE are joining forces to move, talk and grow together under the campaign More Mo’s, More Impact.
How to get involved?
First things first, sign up to the UWE Movember page here - register yourself first and then you can join a team if you like (ie. your sports club).
1. Inside Out Day - Wednesday 19th November
Inside Out Day is a national initiative to raise awareness about men’s mental health.
On this day, we’re encouraging everyone to wear an item of clothing inside out to spark conversation about mental health. It’s a simple, visual reminder that sometimes what’s going on inside isn’t always visible on the outside.
By taking part, you’re showing your support for open, honest conversations about mental health and wellbeing.

2. Tash Me If You Can
This is a fun, distance-based challenge where we see which universities can move the most throughout November!
Using Strava (a free fitness app for tracking walks, runs, rides and swims), everyone who joins UWE’s Movember Strava Club will help contribute to our total kilometres.
It doesn’t matter how fast you go, every bit of movement adds up!
How to join:
It’s all about teamwork, movement, and a bit of friendly competition.
3. Tash of the Week & Tash of Movember
This is where the moustaches come in! Each week, we’ll celebrate the best Mo’s across TeamUWE whether they're real or fake, serious or silly.
You can send in your photos through your club or directly via Instagram (@teamuwebristol), and we’ll submit standout entries to the “Tash of the Week” competition run by the University of Manchester (who are leading the campaign nationally).
At the end of the month, one winner will be crowned the Tash of Movember 2025! Plus bragging rights and plenty of laughs along the way.
Tip: Fake moustaches, painted Mo’s, and group Mo-ments all count!
4. Fundraise or host your own event
You don’t need to grow a Mo or run a marathon to make a difference. You can host your own event such as a bake sale, quiz night, charity match, a social or take on a fun challenge with your club or society.
All fundraising supports the Movember Foundation, which funds groundbreaking men’s health projects in the UK and globally.
