Although it has been made aware that the SU already have games such as the switch, ping pong table etc. It will be better if they invested their money into more games such as pool/snooker, dance dance revolution, board games, card games etc that people could play together and put it all into one room. The reason why it would be better if all the games get put all into one room is because then everything will be all in one place making it convenient for the students and it will also set a good vibe making students want interact.
This idea would help improve the mentality and social skills of students, as gaming is a way to eliminate boredom and uplift spirits seeing as this university is in the middle of nowhere with no entertainment within walking distance. Moreover, it could also improve the bond of friendship and could also be an icebreaker for first years as we all know that making friends in first year can be a difficulty. Therefore having a games room is an opportunity for students to socialise as well as improve their mental health.
